I'm writing this two years after the actual trip. We've since
visited Scotland and Greece
and I wrote Web sites for those trips, so I've decided to write one about
our trip to England. Though two years have passed, I don't think
I've forgotten too many details. Whatever I can't remember will pale
in comparison to the stuff I make up to replace it. I hope you enjoy
it.
It was Adam's first trip out of the time zone.
We took the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station and then hopped on the Underground for a few stops and got off at Euston Station. Once above ground again, it was only a two block walk to our hotel but we quickly determined that our suitcases were too big.
| After a quick nap to help with the jet lag, we did a little sightseeing
near the hotel. Our first stop was the Sherlock
Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street. The place is done up just as described
in the books, and apparently a lot of visitors are fooled into thinking
that Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson were real people.
Here, Danusia and I do pale imitations of the sleuths in question. |

After some strolling around and dinner at a pub on Canaby, the jet lag caught up with us again. We went back to the hotel and crashed so we'd be prepared for a full day of rampant tourism tomorrow.
