Swallowed News Flash!

Swallowed has some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that we won both the Best Local Rock Band and Best All-Original Band categories in the Weekly Planet's Best Of The Suncoast 2000 reader's survey. Many thanks to everyone who voted for us.

Swallowed also has two songs on the soon-to-be-released U2 tribute CD, "Pride," on Adrenaline Records. Look for it at CD Baby.

The bad news is that we broke up.

The break-up is entirely amicable, we’re all still friends. While the traditional excuse of "musical differences" usually projects a negative image, that's the real reason here:

	Singer Dana Victoria will be embarking on a solo career. She's taking December off and will start recording in January.
	Bassist/Songwriter Bill Bois plans on continuing studio work and jamming with other bands. He already sat in with Twinkle at a November show. He's also available to produce recordings with other artists.
	Guitarist/Singer Mike Rogers is currently writing songs and will start his own band in St. Petersburg.
	Russ Stanhope is looking forward to forming an orignal alt-rock/keyboard-oriented band with humor for the consumer.

GoddessOfCool.com and will continue to remain active as the home of each member's future sites.

We want to thank each of you for coming to shows, joining our mailing list, buying t-shirts and generally being great fans. Stay tuned, we think there's some more good music coming....
